To the families we serve:
T his general price list reflects our commitment to provide consumer information to each family we are privileged to serve.
We feel it is important that you understand the alternatives available to you, as well as the specific costs for each of these services. We feel confident you will find the information you need within this price list. However, should you have any questions, your counselor is well qualified to answer them for you.
Experience has shown us that every person has individual needs. We want you to feel comfortable in asking us for anything that might make the arrangements more meaningful to you or those involved. If we do not have a particular item or service listed in this general price list, we will do everything in our power to provide it for you.
We are honored by the confidence you have placed in us, and we know you will find us worthy of that trust.
Prior to drafting any contract for goods or services, the responsible party or the decedent’s survivor who is handling the funeral arrangements is entitled to receive a copy of any pre-need agreement in the possession of the funeral establishment that has been signed and paid for, in full or in part, by or on behalf of the decedent.
A casket price list will be provided for the consumer and may be retained for further reference.
• Adult caskets are offered from $550 to $3,995.
• Adult alternative container is offered from $40 to $195.
• Adult rental casket is offered at $725.
• Child caskets are offered from $295 to $1,695.
• Child alternative container is offered at $40.
• Child rental casket is not offered.
The goods and services shown below are those we can provide to our customers. You may choose only those items you desire. However, any funeral arrangements you select will include a charge for our services. If legal or other requirements mean you must buy any items you did not specifically ask for, we will explain the reason in writing on the statement we provide, describing the funeral goods and services you selected. A majority of the families we assist tend to select arrangements in keeping with the following options. While you are free to make arrangements on an itemized basis, the following options are designed to simplify the arrangement process, and are offered on a cost savings basis. As the options include various types or arrangements, no credit for deletions is possible. If you ask us to provide additional items or services, additional charges may apply. Your service consultant welcomes your questions. These options are discounted options. All merchandise must be purchased from McKenzie Mortuary Services for these discounted options to be utilized, otherwise services will be itemized and not discounted. |
Our cremation options include: |
Cremation is performed within seven working days of receiving disposition permit. This price option applies to deceased individuals who are less than 250 pounds. Additional fees will be applied contingent upon those individuals who do not meet this weight restriction. |
Basic preparation is performed. Dressing, cosmetology and embalming are not utilized with this option. Decedent is presented on a viewing cot. This is not to be considered a formal visitation. The 30-minute identification option may not be suitable for all cases. The charges for a direct cremation are included in this option. |
Cremation is performed within 24 hours of receiving disposition permit. |
Cremation with visual identification and witnessing the cremation container or casket placed in the cremation chamber. This option will allow up to six persons to view the cremation. |
A memorial service provides an opportunity for family and friends to join together and share in a ceremony that celebrates a life lived. This includes the coordination and direction of a memorial service in one of our chapels, the memorial register (guest) book, memorial folders and acknowledgment (thank you) cards. The charges for direct cremation are included in this option. |
Coordination and direction of a funeral service in one of our chapels. Includes embalming, dressing, casketing and cosmetology. This service includes a four-hour visitation at our facility, the memorial book, memorial folders, acknowledgment (thank you) cards, a funeral vehicle and flower car. This option also includes crematory fees. The purchase or rental of a casket is in addition to this option. |
An opportunity for family and friends to share in a tribute and final placement of the deceased on a Coast Guard certified yacht accommodating up to 12 persons. This vessel departs from Long Beach and includes our sea-friendly salt urn, a memorial register book, memorial folders, acknowledgement (thank you) cards, bottled water and flowers. The charges for a direct cremation are included in this option. |
An opportunity for family and friends to share in a tribute and final placement of the deceased on a Coast Guard certified yacht accommodating up to 35 persons. This vessel may depart from the family’s choice of either Long Beach or Newport Beach and includes our sea-friendly salt urn, a memorial register book, memorial folders, acknowledgement (thank you) cards, bottled water and flowers. The charges for a direct cremation are included in this option. |

Adult Burial Options from $935.00 to $2,670.00 |
Local transportation of the deceased to our facility within 30 miles of Long Beach, minimum services of our staff, essential facilities and transportation of the casket to the cemetery. |
Casket is delivered to designated cemetery within two days of receiving disposition permit. Family is notified of actual day, but not actual time of delivery. There is no viewing or services, and a casket is in addition to the price of this option. |

Coordinating and directing graveside service in the cemetery of your choice, including the memorial register book, memorial folders, acknowledgment (thank you) cards. There is no viewing, and a casket is in addition to the price of this option. On all graveside services, the casket is preset at the cemetery. |
Coordinating and directing graveside service in the cemetery of your choice, including embalming, dressing, casketing and cosmetology. This service includes a two-hour visitation at one of our chapels including the memorial register book, memorial folders and acknowledgment (thank you) cards. A casket is in addition to the price of this option. On all graveside services, the casket is preset at the cemetery. |
Coordination and direction of a funeral service in one of our chapels with a committal service in the cemetery of your choice, including embalming, dressing, casketing and cosmetology. This service includes a two-hour visitation at our facility, including the memorial register book, memorial folders, acknowledgment (thank you) cards, a funeral coach and a flower car. The purchase of a casket is in addition to this option. |

D. Preparation of Remains: Except in certain special cases, embalming is not required by law. Embalming may be necessary, however, if you select certain funeral arrangements, such as a funeral with viewing. If you do not want embalming, you usually have the right to choose an arrangement that does not require you to pay for it, such as a direct cremation or direct burial. |
