In Memoriam – Jack P. Ryan

    In high school (where I first met him) he was clever and funny, but never resorted to the typical juvenile social ‘wars’ or cliques that so many sought acceptance in. He was a genuinely nice guy who was not outspoken, but participated in discussions and conversations with intelligence and humor. We became reacquainted a few years ago when we attended a Bolsa Grande all-class reunion in Santa Ana with my wife Ivy (also a BGHS alumni) and classmate Patrice. It was a very enjoyable evening and we were glad to see that Jack had made such positive strides in his life at the time. He continued to do good work with those who were blessed with his experience, empathy and advice. Until recently, I’d thought that his health issues were behind him, but sadly, not the case. He was one of the good ones. You are missed, Jack (:
