LIFE TRIBUTE – Sara Jayne Kimm

Sara Jayne Kimm

1966-2021

Sara Jayne was born to Earl Dean and Jane Riley Kimm on August 13, 1966 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Sara went peacefully with family, by her side, to be with our Lord on March 17, 2021 after a three-year battle with cancer.


Sara’s early childhood and elementary years were in Blairstown, Iowa. While in her Junior High years, Sara moved to Arizona and later to California graduating from San Dimas High School. She was an outstanding and awarding winning athlete. Sara was a dental technician and surgeon assistant in Hollywood. Dan Tana’s was her favorite home away from home where she met many friends including her fiancé, Richard Seaver. Sara, a gifted artist on canvas and cloth was an award winning fashion designer. She also enjoyed owning, and modifying her motorcycles, T-bucket and numerous other vehicles.


She is survived by her father Earl Dean Kimm and step-mother Joan (McFarland) Kimm; sisters Tracy Matlock, Pamela (Timothy) Schram; nephews Joshua (Kim) Farrar; Justin’s wife, Amy Farrar; Tracy (Courtney) Schram and Tyler (Tamara) Schram; great-nephews and nieces Colton and Hunter Farrar, Arianna and Skylar Farrar, Macey and Sydney, Caden, Mackenzie, Teygan and Tynnlie Schram, step-brothers and sisters, and numerous family and friends. She was preceded in death by her fiancé, Richard Seaver, Porter and Esther (Schaffer) Kimm, grandparents Franklin and Margaret (Benner) Riley, mother Jane Riley Kimm Thompson, nephew Justin Farrar, and cousin Jon “Buck” Kimm, plus many other family and friends.


Sara Jayne was a “sparkler,” a light—full of enthusiasm and never met a stranger! She is deeply missed by all!
