William Edward Robbins, Jr. 1934-2019

William Edward Robbins, Jr, known to his friends as Bill or “Doc,” passed away at the age of 85 on July 25, 2019 in Long Beach, CA. He was born on April 17, 1934 to the late William Edward Robbins Sr and Ella (Hallahan) Robbins. He is survived by his sister Eileen (Robbins) Paul, a niece and nephew and three great-nephews. Bill served in the US Navy on the USS Rendova during the Korean War. He worked for the USPS for 36 years, retiring in 2015. He loved his job because of the great people he worked with and the ability to work outside. Bill was outgoing and active. He loved running on the beach and riding his bike. He was a generous caring man who took care of numerous people during his lifetime. He will be missed by so many people who appreciated his companionship, stories, sense of humor and surprise visits. We love you Bill and will see you again in Heaven. A service with military honors will be held on September 11, 2019 at 11:30am at Riverside National Cemetery.
