William Henry Snyder

1951-2016

William Snyder was born in Ohio and moved to California with his wife Denise in 1979. He followed in his father’s footsteps and joined the Army in 1971 thereafter becoming a truck driver for the next 40 years.

He married his best friend in 1994 and had two daughters together whom he left behind (Renee 36 and Brandy 33) along with two granddaughters (Kali 15 and Alexis 4) and three grandsons (Kasey 14, Eddie 7 and DJ 2). They lived in Long Beach from 1979 until their passing. His wife passed away peacefully at home next to her husband in 2007 of acute respiratory failure due to sleep apnea she had been battling for many years.

William “Bill” was a very hard working family man who loved his wife, daughters and grandchildren with all his heart. He had a great sense of humor that could light up a room any given time of day. He had a passion in life for music, sports and cooking. Bill was diagnosed with cancer in 2013 and beat it and then diagnosed again in 2016, only to loose the battle the second time.
