LIFE TRIBUTE – Michael Joseph Guthrie

Michael Joseph Guthrie 1962-2023

Michael Joseph Guthrie age 61, passed unexpectedly on September 5th, 2023 in Westminster, CA. He was greeted with open arms in Heaven by our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Michael was born in Joliet, IL in 1962. He was a top wrestler in the state of Illinois during his early high school years, which he took great pride in. After high school he served our country by joining the Air Force. Through all his life accomplishments his greatest one was living his life as a proud Christian and follower of Christ. Michael would share the word of God with anyone who would listen. Michael enjoyed listening to older rock ‘n’ roll and watching his movies. As well as shopping for treasures for his family, friends and local churches. He also enjoyed riding his bike to the park on sunny days. Michael was reunited in Heaven with his stepfather, Wayne Gregory and father Mike Guthrie. as well as his grandparents Wynn and Alice Wilkins, his great-niece Kamryn, and other members who passed earlier on. He is survived by his mother, Barbara Waddell, his siblings; Wayne, Dorothy, Donald, Lynn, Hope and Stacey, nieces and nephews; Tara, Steven, Megan, Breeana, Brittany, Brandon, Joshua, Jaclyn, Janessa and Courtney, his great-nieces and nephews; Denavien, Harmony, Tristalynn, Bailey, Zachary, Geni, Gracie, Esmerelda, Noah and Lincoln, his brother-in-laws; Steve, Scott, Carlos and Bill, as well as multiple cousins and extended family. Michael was loved and cared for by his family, very much. Michael’s remains will be sent to Texas to be reunited with his mother. He will be missed greatly and will never be forgotten.
