Mary Linn Coleman
1939-2023
 | Mary Linn Coleman, 84, passed away peacefully at her home in Long Beach, CA on October 27, 2023 with loved ones by her side. She was born on January 26, 1939, in Tulsa, OK, to the late Hershel and Ann Keel.
Mary Linn, also known by her maiden name Keel, attended Washington High School, graduating with the class of 1957. She went on to have a successful career as a bookkeeper, dedicating most of her working years to Los Angeles Air Conditioning.
Outside of her professional life, Mary Linn had a variety of interests and hobbies. She dedicated many years to the Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach Auxiliary holding financially related positions. She was an active member of the Torrance Women’s Club, Marina District and California Federation of Women’s Clubs where she enjoyed engaging with her community and participating in various philanthropic activities. In her leisure time, Mary Linn found solace in reading novels and solving puzzles.
Mary Linn Coleman is survived by her loving daughter Terri, son-in-law Glenn, granddaughter Candace, great-granddaughter Evelyn, niece Jenny Keel, and nephew Herschel Keel. She was preceded in death by her father Hershel Keel, mother Ann Keel, sister Joann Campbell, and brother Tom Keel.
Mary Linn Coleman will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched. Her memory will forever be cherished.
A private memorial service will be held for immediate family members. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to be made in Mary Linn’s name to American Cancer Society .
