LIFE TRIBUTE – Joseph Luis Arreguin
Joseph Luis Arreguin
1938 -2024
|
Joe was born September 19, 1938 to Luis and Enrqueta Arreguin. He grew up in Heber, CA. When Joe was 17, he left Heber, joined the Navy and proudly served his country for two years. After his service, he went back to night school to earn his GED and then on to trade school to become a plumber. Joe worked the majority of his career (28 years) for L.A. County at Rancho Los Amigos Rehab Hospital.
Joe was all about his family and friends. Whether it was hosting family barbeques, driving up to Mammoth and Bishop to visit his oldest children Joe and Kim or spending many days at the ball fields where he earned the nickname “Papa Joe.” He got his name from the kids he coached and was a meaningful presence to all the kids at the fields. To this day he is adoringly referred to as “Papa Joe.” He was loved by all who knew him.
Joe is survived by Betty his wife of 56 years whom he loved and was lost without her, his children Joseph, Kim, David, Larry, Kenneth, Daniel, and his grandchildren Ashley, Thomas, Hailey, Amanda, Saige, Michael, Mattias, Noah, Nolan and his great grandchildren (11). He also is survived by brothers, sisters and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly and he was loved dearly by them.
