LIFE TRIBUTE – Elizabeth Jean Miller

Elizabeth Jean Miller

1939-2022

Betty’s family included her parents, Tyrus and Zelma Clark, and her siblings: Patricia Clark, Judith Clark, Stephen Clark, and Jacquelyn Herbertson. She spent her early years moving with her family, living at times in Alaska, Colorado and Arkansas, and Betty frequently looked back with delight on her high school days in Anchorage, Alaska. After graduating from Arkansas State Teacher’s College, she moved to Long Beach, California, which became her forever home. From Betty’s first marriage she had one son, David Gregory Frenn. She later married Frank G. Miller and they had one daughter, Lisa Miller.

Using her life experiences and education, Betty began a career as a social worker for Los Angeles County. She spent her life helping people, showing a fierce dedication to helping others.

After retirement, she loved gardening, traveling, and indulging in her lifelong love of reading. Meeting other seniors and chatting with her sisters became a daily activity.

Betty will be missed, leaving so many who loved her. She was a loving mother, wife, grandma and sister and she leaves us with remembrances of her kindness, love, and cheer.
