Michael Cochise Ternes
1972 - 2022
 | Mike was born in Long Beach, California on October 24th, 1972 to Howard and Shirley Ternes. He attended grade school in Long Beach and went to Millikan High School where he played trumpet in the Jazz Band. He was an accomplished drummer in the Long Beach Junior Concert Band for many years.
He joined the Army after high school where he was eventually promoted to Staff Sergeant until he was honorably discharged after 13 years. He was a corrections officer for the State of Texas and a volunteer firefighter for the city of Killeen until he returned to Long Beach where he earned his Associate of Arts degree from the University of Phoenix. He was a Public Safety Officer for Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and then worked as a long-haul truck driver for six years until his passing on March 4th, 2022. He is survived by his father.
