Ryan Jeffrey Temple, 46, passed away unexpectedly on November 11, 2023 in his hometown of Long Beach, California. Even though a failing body took him away from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all in the community.
Ryan’s cheerful attitude, infectious sense of humor, and smile will never be forgotten! His dedication to his students and willingness to take on any task will be greatly missed within the Long Beach Unified School District where he worked as a counselor for more than 20 years. Ryan loved volunteering his time as a youth soccer coach, referee, youth mentor, and in his free time enjoyed playing with his local adult soccer team. He was passionate about exploring the world and participating in all things outdoors. He always inspired those around him to travel and go outside and play.
Ryan is survived by his loving wife of 14 years, Kendra; son, Austin (12); daughter, Addy (11); dog child, Rio (14); mother, Janet; step-father, Wayne; brothers, Mike and Eric; nephews, Keoni, Matthew, Kai, and Jake; nieces, Lily, Sophia, Gianna, Jasmine and Jade; mother-in-law, Margaret; father-in-law, Jay; sister-in-laws Bri, Susan, Beth, and Tina; and brother-in-laws, Jason, Tyler and Jon.
Ryan will be honored on December 2, 2023 at 11:00 am (doors to open at 10) at Park Crest Christian Church located at 5950 East Park Crest Street, Long Beach, CA. 90808. A celebration of life reception will follow at Alter Society beginning at 1:00pm located at 230 Pine Avenue, Long Beach, CA. 90802.
